Challenged to focus in prayer?

Rebuke the distraction of thoughts that keep vying for your attention during your personal time with God:

Declare the Word over your mind, “I have the mind of Christ {to be guided by His thoughts and purposes}” (1 Corinthians 2:16 AMP)

Rebuke any thoughts that do not align with the Word and my focused time with God;

Declare, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus." (Reference Romans 3:22)

Take every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5)

Worship songs exalting Jesus (replace the weeds with flowers 🌺).

Declare the name that is above every name - Jesus!

Rebuke as much as you need to during your devotion time and as often as you have to during your day to day as you focus on our Lord.

Challenged to IMPRINT the Word of God in your heart?

Read the specific verse aloud and do the following for each:

As you read each verse again aloud pause, then with your eyes closed, repeat it

Open your eyes then read it again aloud. As you read it aloud, this time write the full verse - 3 to 5 words at a time.

As you write each verse (or phrase) pause and reflect and marinate on each phase, each Word, noticing each punctation.

Write down in brackets (after the verse or phrase) what resonates in your heart for each verse/phrase.

Repeat from point these instructions and imprint the verse/phrase to your heart.

Pray the same scripture to God from a place of Thanksgiving: For example:  "Thank you Father God, that (my mind and heart is being renewed in the spirit of Your Word as I am being transformed by Your Word), in the name of Jesus"

The more you practice this skill, the easier it becomes to imprint the Word of God in your heart
