What is Word-Prayer?

Updated: Nov 11, 2021

Praying God’s Word back to Him is the second most powerful form of prayer second only to praying in tongues.

It is written in Hebrews 4:12 that “..the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Can you discern the power of God’s Word? God’s Word is the purest form of truth and nothing on this earth or in heaven can compare to the pure and powerful Truth of God’s Word.

He has given us access to Him through the living power of His Word. Word-prayer is communicating God’s Word - the purest living power of truth there is - to Him. Because God, in His Word, promises that His Word “shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it,” {Isaiah 55:11} we can, in our Christian right, and in confident faith and expectation, pray God’s Word to Him.

I am interested in learning, are you regularly praying God’s Word back to Him? if not, what hinders you from doing so?
